2. Many say our national and global societies are at a crossroads. We have to decide how to change the way we produce and consume energy. Why do we say this, and how might we go about doing it?

3. Please give some examples of inverse square laws that occur in nature, and explain why so many different phenomena that behave like this can be well described by essentially the same equation.
